We were so excited when we were invited by Smart & Chic Beauty Lounge to participate in their fashion show, "Ma Vie En Plastique". The event was held at the W's Aloft a couple weeks ago and our shop girls were there to style the models and enjoy the show. We may be biased but we think our segment turned out great and Jahna agreed. We've stolen a couple pictures from her to give you a little taste of this evening of mpls fashion.

The windows at gh2 are making the shift to spring. Shopgirl Kiera is responsible for the ever-changing window displays and we think she has totally outdone herself with this latest creation.
We kind of love this time of year when you can load up on the layers but dont necessarily need a coat. We have been piling cardigans, light-weight jackets and oversized scarves over silk tops and flowy blouses for a chic and easy transitional look! We have a huge rack of transitional jackets! Leather, canvas, khaki and rain! Hurry in!
GH2 is the Grethen House outlet & consignment store. If you're thinking about consigning at gh2 keep the core tenet of "high fashion" in mind. Last year's Gap essentials will be politely declined while a Martin Margiela skirt made of an inside-out potato sack will be warmly embraced. High fashion is equal parts ethereal and ephemeral; fantastic and fickle. Such is life. Go figure. Located at 318 E. Hennepin Ave, Mpls, MN. Open Tuesday-Friday til 6ish, Saturdays & Mondays til 5.
Grethen House is an upscale women's boutique specializing in unique clothing and accessories by cutting edge designers such as Comme des Garcons, Hache, Yigal Azrouel, Gunex, Rozae Nichols and Martin Margiela. Grethen House's customers are those seeking alternatives to the impersonal service and ubiquitous merchandise of department stores. They appreciate the conscientious service and extra attention a small, family-owned boutique provides. Grethen House is a family run business, and was established in Clear Lake, Iowa in 1953 by Greta and Henry Thomas-- the name Grethen House is a combination of their first names. Daughter Mary Brindley took over the store in 1989; her son Tadd is continuing the legacy.
